Luxor is the heart of Ancient Egypt and the world’s largest open-air museum.
In just one day, you will explore magnificent temples, cross the Nile, and learn the fascinating history of the pharaohs with a professional guide.
The trip is well-organized and comfortable, including a modern bus and lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile.
Perfect for travelers who want to see Egypt’s highlights in one unforgettable day.
Luxor is rightfully considered the world’s largest open-air museum. Even its name comes from the Arabic “Al-Uqsur,” meaning “palaces.” The Nile River divides the city into two parts: the East Bank — known as the “City of the Living,” and the West Bank — the “City of the Dead.”
We offer carefully designed экскурсионные programs covering the most important attractions. However, it is impossible to see everything in a standard group tour. For those who want a deeper experience, we also organize private tours to Luxor.
The Karnak Temple Complex covers an area of approximately 1.5 km by 700 meters. Its construction began around the 20th century BC and continued for over 1,300 years. Karnak is unique with its massive halls and multiple pylons. Highlights include the famous scarab statue — believed to grant wishes — and the sacred lake, once used for ritual purification. A historic avenue of sphinxes connects Karnak to Luxor Temple.
The Colossi of Memnon are the only remaining remnants of the temple of Amenhotep III, built around 1400 BC. Although the temple was destroyed by an earthquake, the statues still stand today. In ancient times, one of the statues was known for producing mysterious sounds at sunrise, which attracted visitors from all over the world.
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built between 1482 and 1473 BC, is one of the most impressive monuments in Egypt. Its ancient name means “The Holy of Holies.” This unique temple was once a place of pilgrimage, where people came seeking healing and blessings.
During the optional visit to Banana Island, you will discover how bananas and other fruits such as mangoes and mandarins are grown. You can also see sugar cane, mint, and various spices. Guests are usually offered fresh bananas, and you can even pick them yourself during the visit.
At the Alabaster Factory, you will learn how traditional stone products are made and how to distinguish genuine alabaster from imitations. There is also an opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs.
During the visit to the perfume factory, you will discover how natural oils and fragrances are produced. You can also buy high-quality essential oils and traditional Egyptian perfumes.
